Sharp Blue Morning

Book 2 in the Lift Bridge Series

Kasey Linden thought ending things with her boyfriend would bring her peace. Instead, TJ’s obsession only grew darker. When her fear starts bleeding into every corner of her life, the last thing she expects is a lifeline in the form of Ramsey Cole, Redrock University’s newly appointed team captain and her new project partner.

Ramsey Cole is barely holding on. Last semester’s loss shattered his focus, and now his captain’s title and scholarship are on the line. So when their semester-long mapping project lands them together on a grumpy old hockey legend’s property, he’s determined to stay focused. But when he learns of Kasey's predicament, Ramsey suggests a desperate solution: a fake relationship to keep her safe.

Pretending to fall for each other was supposed to be simple but things get complicated when the line between what’s fake and what’s not starts to blur.

When TJ’s obsession spirals into violence, Ramsey has to choose, risk his future on the ice or fight for the girl who’s become his everything.

Strange Breathless Days

Book 1 in the Lift Bridge Series

In a small northern Michigan college town, two things are very important - hockey and staying warm.

Kara Linden, the determined athletic trainer, has her hands full trying to keep Blaze McKade, the reckless new recruit and captain's twin brother, from crashing and burning. Neighbors and reluctant partners in damage control, their secret attraction quickly turns into a risky romance neither of them can ignore.

Meanwhile, Blaze's brother is battling demons of his own, and struggling to keep it together on and off the ice. As pressures mount on all fronts, Kara is the only one who can pull Blaze back from the edge. But when the stakes get higher than ever, she'll have to fight for their love and the future they both want.

Small town hockey romance with heart

Author Hannah Layne

Hi Friend!

I’m Hannah, a hopeless romantic with an incurable case of wanderlust and an embarrassing number of half-drunk coffee cups on my desk. I grew up in Northern Michigan, went to Michigan Tech, and now call Minnesota home - so it’s safe to say I know a thing or two about long winters, frozen lakes, and small towns that keep their secrets. I write small-town hockey romances set up north, where the air is crisp, the hearts are bruised, and love feels a lot like coming home after a long road trip.

I’ve been reading romance since before I probably should’ve been, and I still believe nothing beats a good small town and a boy who knows his way around the ice. My books are full of golden-hour heartbreak, found family, and love stories that warm you from the inside out (like your favorite flannel straight from the dryer).

When I’m not writing, I’m usually somewhere near the water or enjoying a pickled egg from my favorite U.P. dive bar, purely for research purposes, of course.
